Faced with the enviable challenge of growing and expanding, The Advisory Board Company (ABC) hired SmithGroupJJR to provide workplace strategy services, suggest alternative real estate approaches and develop an efficient space design framework for future office modernizations. The response to the healthcare and education consultancy's requirements comprises a program that leaves room for regional customization.
The design strategy transformed their existing traditional office environments into vibrant, contemporary and efficient workplaces, and formed strategies for moving and adapting where rapid growth required. The Advisory Board's Chennai, India office was the first to apply the recommendations, followed by the Crimson office in Austin, Texas, in a move that nearly tripled their size. Transformations like these, and others in Washington, D.C. and San Francisco, have paid off by elevating firm culture, boosting employee workplace satisfaction and morale, and wowing first-time visitors.
The updated workspaces have even become recruiting and retention tools, by creating a sense of prestige in employment with ABC.
Interior Design magazine features the Crimson office reinvention.
