Michael Nowicki

"As an industry, we need to be smarter about how buildings consume and produce energy."

An electrical engineer based in the Detroit office, Mike is responsible for developing the overall electrical design concepts for clients, including primary and secondary power distribution, lighting, telecommunications, fire alarm and security systems. He has developed an ever-expanding expertise in alternative energy technologies and is excited about the potential of new products that incorporate photovoltaics into materials such as window glass and roof shingles. “As an industry, we need to be smarter about how buildings consume and produce energy,” Mike suggests. “In 10 years, it will probably be standard practice to generate energy on-site.” Electrical engineering is a natural fit for Michael. “I’m a curious person and electricity and magnetism were always mysterious and fascinating to me,” he says. “Every day I get the opportunity to think outside the box, assist our clients in reaching their goals, work in a dynamic team environment and have fun.”
